Practice daily breathwork and enjoy guided meditations with Haley
Each morning before breakfast Haley will lead a guided meditation / breathwork session on-site at the hotel.
Tour Monte Alban and visit Teotitlan Del Valle with an expert guide
Monte Alban is one of Mexico’s largest Archeological sites. Our tour guide is a Oaxaca Native, with a degree in history with experience working for National Geographic
Experience a traditional temazcal ceremony
Temazcal is a centuries old sweat lodge ceremony that incorporates a steam bath to cleanse the body and spirit and to honor the four elements of nature - earth, water, fire, and air.
Take a private market tour and cooking class
The chef will first lead us through a guided shopping experience in a local market followed by a cooking class during which we will learn to prepare a mutli-course traditional Oaxacan meal.
Learn about mezcal and dine at some of Oaxaca’s best restaurants
Together we will learn about mezcal, a distilled spirit made from the agave plant, through two separate experiences. First, we will take a guided palenque tour where mezcal is produced using artesenal methods. Second, we will refine our knowledge of mezcal via a guided tasting with a certified sommelier.
Separately, we will dine at select restaurants and experience Oaxaca’s culinary delights.
Enjoy free time to shop and explore the city
Oaxaca has so many things to offer and individual interests will differ. Accordingly, we are leaving plenty of time within the itinerary so you can explore this beautiful city on your own!
We’ll stay at a chic, socially-conscious, boutique hotel
Hotel con Corazón is a eco-friendly, boutique hotel that invests 75% of its profits in local educational efforts. Situated at the edge of the centro historico, the hotel is walking distance to the central square, the Zócalo. Each room is thoughtfully decorated and has an en suite bathroom and A/C.
Oaxaca is a foodie’s paradise.
Bring an appetite because we’ll eat well!
Oaxaca is also the home of mezcal!
Over 90% of the world’s mezcal, a distilled spirit made from the agave plant, is produced in Oaxaca. During this experience you will visit artisanal palenques (traditional mezcal production sites) AND experience a guided mezcal tasting with a professional sommelier
